Another wider view at Gorey Pier shows Jersey Motor Transport 621, J28621, a Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/11 with Massey B40F body of June 1962, which was later lengthened and rebuilt to B45F by JMT as seen here.
The brooding castle of Mont Orgueil dominates the scene in higher resolution and protected Jersey at its closest strategic mainland point to the Cotentin peninsula, Normandy, France.
Returning to the Tiger Cub, it was converted for horsebox use by Moon Riding Stables, St Brélade in January 1982 and lasted exactly five years, so must have been scrapped around its 25th birthday.
