5. CTO387 ... Gosport & Fareham (Provincial), Hoeford 63, CTO387, an A.E.C. O661 Regent, which was new to Nottingham City Transport in 1937 with a Metro Cammell H30/26R body, had been acquired in 1954, and was recorded in P.S.V. Circle Fleet History PK6 as being withdrawn in 1961 and not traced further.

6. DAU454 ... Nottingham Employees’ Canteen 801, DAU454, originally fleet number 75, an AEC Regal with Cravens B32R body new in 1937.

8. DAU455 ... Nottingham converted 776, DAU455, to mobile canteen 812 in 1956, having withdrawn it from passenger service in 1953. It was an AEC Regal with a Cravens DP32R body and was numbered 76 when new in 1937. Renumbered 276 in 1944 and again to 776 in 1948 it is seen here outside Parliament Street garage as 812. It was finally sold for scrap in June 1968.

65. DAU369C ... Red Rover took a liking to former City of Nottingham Transport vehicles in the mid-1970s. DAU369C was one of five 1965 full height Weymann H40/30F bodied AEC 3B3RA Renowns, which moved from Nottingham to Aylesbury and served Red Rover well.

66. DAU369C ... Five years after I first photographed DAU369C with Red Rover of Aylesbury, it had been repainted into this modernised version of Red Rover livery, which took cues from that applied by Nottingham to Leyland National GAU727L (also acquired by Red Rover).

77. MTO133F ... Imagine turning into work on a morning like this. Its enough to make you want to turn round and return straight back home! But bus drivers are a resilient bunch and wheels must keep turning. One bus has managed to leave the depot, climb the incline out of Low Fold Garage at Horsforth and reach the main A65 (New Road Side) to make its way to the pick-up point for one of the many workers contracts or school services that Independent/Edwards Coachways did.
