Trent 1368, ORC768, a 1959 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 with Weymann lowbridge 78 seat bodywork. In 1978 this bus became 768 in the Lancaster fleet where it was the first rear engined double decker. In this shot it is flanked by 217, DBA217C, a 1965 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 with MCW bodywork originally in the Salford fleet and 205, KTJ205C, a 1965 Leyland Titan PD2/37 with East Lancs front entrance body bought new by Lancaster.

Fishwick often bought one off vehicles from Leyland Motors and seen here is a 1963 Leyland Atlantean with Alexander body to Glasgow's specification. The bus was originally part of a large batch ordered by Glasgow and was to be LA91, SGD669, in the Glasgow fleet but it was bought back by Leyland for use as a demonstrator. Sold to Fishwick in 1965 it became number 34 in their fleet.

Woods and Longstaff, both small independents with one operative double decker each, each had a third share of the Dewsbury to Mirfield, via Knowle service, with Yorkshire Woollen.

Halls Coaches of Hounslow bought VYH47G a 1968 Leyland Atlantean PDR2/1 with a Roe body to a Leeds City Transport design to act as a transfer vehicle for TWA Airlines. In later years the bus was owned by Victoria Coaches of Guiseley who used it on a shoppers service to the Asda store in Pudsey.

Airebus was a short lived challenger to Yorkshire Rider in the Leeds area after deregulation. Initially they used ex-London DMS Fleetlines. Later second hand purchases were ex Edinburgh Leyland Atlanteans and one of the latter, SSF364H, originally 364 in the Edinburgh fleet receives attention at the Airebus depot in Leeds. The bus is a Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1 with Alexander body new in 1970.
