Sheffield painted a number of buses and trams in a two shades of green livery in 1952 with a view to saving money by increasing the interval between repainting and tram 287 is seen here at Sheffield Lane Top heading two cars in standard livery.
The green failed to meet with approval and the normal livery was restored fairly quickly.
