New to Sheffield United Tours in May 1935 this AEC 665 Ranger, AWJ235, had been rebuilt to forward control layout and rebodied with a Harrington C33F body in May 1949 for Sherriff, Gainsborough.

New in 1954 as Sheffield United 231 with a Duple C41C body, RWE231 was rebodied with a Plaxton Panorama C41F body in March 1963 for Eddie Brown, Helperby.

Neath & Cardiff 3281WB, a Burlingham C41C bodied AEC Reliance, new in 1958, was acquired from Sheffield United Tours in November 1966 and was withdrawn in May 1970.

Sheffield United operated the very first Plaxton Panorama bodied coaches and 285, 3285WB, seen here in Waterdale, Doncaster was an AEC MU3RV Reliance with C41F body, new in February 1958, from the first delivery. It was one of six new that year between January and May (285-290, 3285-3290WB).

A rear view of the second styling of the Plaxton Panorama body seen here at Victoria Coach Station on Sheffield United 308, 6308WJ, which was a C40F body on an A.E.C. 2MU3RV Reliance built in March 1960. This shows how the kick up in the side window was used to match the level of the existing style of rear window.

1318WA was an A.E.C. 2MU3RA Reliance and was number 318 in the fleet of Sheffield United Tours.  It carried a Plaxton Panorama C26F body and is seen on Madeira Driive at Brighton on the occasion of the Seventh British Coach Rally.

Sheffield United 326, 136AWJ, new in October 1961, was an AEC 4MU3RA Reliance with Plaxton Panorama C44F body with the low backed seats favoured by the operator to give improved visibility for the passengers.

Sheffield United were purely a coach operator and never ran stage services and were one of the first operators to offer continental coach tours. For many years AEC was their chassis of choice. Seen here is 374, KWE374D, a 1966 AEC Reliance with Plaxton Panorama bodywork.
