Two former municipal stalwarts can be seen in this shot taken at Lancaster's 75th anniversary rally in 1978. Manchester 3245, JND646, is a 1951 Leyland Titan PD2/3 with Metro Cammell bodywork and next is a later Birkenhead example 75, MCM975, a 1962 Leyland Titan PD2/40 with curvacious Massey bodywork.
The Manchester Titan is an exhibit at the Manchester Transport Museum while the Birkenhead bus was last seen in 2009 in Arkansas, USA.
