Providing an interesting contrast with the Cravens bodied RT is this shot of the upper deck of Manchester 1001, HVM901F, the first of the dual door Mancunians to enter service. The translucent roof panel was a trade mark of Ralph Bennet who designed the bus. This Leyland Atlantean was the template for many such buses built by many body builders in the seventies. It dates from 1968.
