Preserved RFE416, a Titan PD2/41 with Roe H33/28R body new to Lincoln Corporation in 6/61 as fleetnumber 89 and part of a batch numbered 88-91 registered RFE415/6 and SFE117/20.
The info I've obtained is that these late-model PD2s were 7 feet 6 inches wide with part-synchromesh gearbox and traditional vacuum brakes. They were also delivered in a non-standard livery, similar to the scheme adopted by Leeds and it has seemingly never been established if this was maybe experimental, a mistake, or a cost-cutting measure by obtaining a cheaper quote from Roe for using paint already mixed for a Leeds order. No other buses in the Lincoln fleet wore this Leeds-style livery and 88-91 were repainted in 1963 to a new-style livery introduced by Lincoln.
RFE416 was withdrawn in early 1977 and bought for preservation and attended the Brighton rally on 1/5/77 wearing its latter Lincoln livery of all green apart from a cream band between decks but with dark green mudguards. Soon afterwards it was restored to its original Leeds-style colours as seen in two photos on the SCT61 website, but was later repainted to the livery introduced in 1963, which it now wears. It is owned by the Lincolnshire vintage Vehicle Society, which has a page about this bus.
RFE416 is the subject of a model numbered OM41403 issued in 6/06, which depicts it in its present livery on Route 12 to Boultham Moor. Sure you'll agree that most of the models are of a high standard and are very collectible.
