Taken purporting to be Halifax 148 and carrying the registration MJX222J, Leyland Titan TD1 built in 1929 with Leyland L24/24R bodywork was subsequently restored as Jersey MT 24 registered SV6107.

The oldest bus in the South East Bus Festival was 1929 Leyland TD1 ex-Jersey 24, J1199, now registered SV6107. Although looking a little shabby, it seems to be structurally and mechanically sound and was happily carrying passengers on the internal bus service round the site. Here it is leaving the rally site on its way to the car park entrance.

Photographed at Grouville, this is believed to be the Leyland TD1 with a Leyland H27/24R body, new as a Leyland demonstrator registered TF2678 in 1930, which was acquired by Jersey Motor Transport in December 1931, registered J6041 and given fleet number 39. It was withdrawn in May 1960, passing to Jersey Motor Spares as an office/store and then to a farm at La Route des Cotils, Grouville by the late 1960s.

Jersey Motor Transport J13539, a Dennis Ace?. Not much more I know about this one, and how obliging of the passers by to cover the registartion of the other mystery bus alongside. Looks like a Hull destination layout and AEC Regent II mudguards. Over to the experts.

Two buses from the Jersey Motor Transport fleet, on the left 23, J4540, a Leyland TD5 with Leyland H54R body, new in 1937 and by the time this picture was taken, in use as a temporary waiting room, and to the right 97, J18005, an Albion Victor with Reading FB34F body, new in 1956.

Preserved(?) Davies Bros, Pencader, JAX354, a Leyland Tiger PS1 built 1947 with Wilks & Meade B35F bodywork. New to Jersey Motor Traction and registered J8535, not to be confused with another JAX354 in the Davies fleet as taken by John Kaye.

The negative has sustained some damage but this is J9522, Jersey Motor Transport 30, one of three Leyland PD1As with Leyland H30/26R bodies new in October 1947.

J11425, Jersey Motor Transport 67, was a Morris Commercial CVF13/5 with a Wadham B27F body, the first of six new in 1948, this one entering service in June and being withdrawn in May 1968 after which it passed to Le Val Construction, St. Lawrence.

Dating from July 1948, Jersey Motor Transport 70, J11428, was a Morris Commercial CVF13/5 with a Wadham B27F body and was one of six new in 1948. This one was withdrawn in April 1968 and passed to Parker, West Park, St. Helier as a deck chair carrier/store.

This photo taken at the Weighbridge bus station in St Helier in the early seventies is of Jersey Motor Transport J5567, fleet No 44, a Leyland PS1 with a Reading B34F body new in 1951. The photo was taken at the time when JMT was in the process of changing their colour scheme from green and cream to blue and cream as seen on the vehicles parked around No 44.

One of five such buses the body was extended to 30' 0" in May 1967 and the seating capacity increased to 45. It was withdrawn in May 1979 and scrapped but is seen here at the Weighbridge Bus Station.
