FUP878 was an A.E.C. O662 Regal with a Burlingham B36F body and was new in 1946 as number 21 in the Gillett part of the G. & B. Motor Services, Quarrington Hill fleet. By July 1954 it had been renumbered to 2 and in July 1960 it became number 16.

Gillett & Baker, Quarrington Hill ran services jointly and JPT737, an A.E.C. 6821A Regal III with a Burlingham B35F body was number 24 in the Gillett fleet as seen in Bishop Auckland Market Place.

Gillett bought this classic Burlingham bodied AEC Regal III, LPT328, in 1950. After a period in preservation as seen here it has subsequently seen further service, initially with Silver Star of Caerarfon and latterly with Thomas of Holyhead.

The last Windover coach body to be built was fitted to an AEC Reliance chassis to become RUP843 of Gillett, Quarrington Hill in 1955. This view at the garage shows the rear end detail of the Kingsway body style.
