Hants & Dorset 7122LJ and 7123LJ were new to Hants & Dorset in 1962 as 886/887.
They were renumbered to 1832/1833 in 1971 and are of the usual Bristol MW6G/ECW configuration, C39F when new. The red one has appeared previously on another site, but the pair together was not suitable for publication. Despite having been through the new scanner, it may still be deemed unsuitable in order to protect readers' eyesight!

Rebuilt with above-screen indicators, and bus seats, they are seen in special liveries for the Seaspeed Hovercraft service between Southampton and Cowes, and the Red Funnel Ferries services between the same two points. Southern Vectis had a Lodekka in a similar way for their Red Funnel advert. In later years the service number was 91. The "blue" service worked between Central Station, Bus Station and Hovercraft Terminal, while the "red" service worked only between Central Station and Red Funnel.

We see them in the southern (downside) forecourt of Southampton Central Station on a sunny lunchtime in May 1974
