Crosville DFG225, JFM225D, was a Bristol Lodekka FS6G with ECW H33/27RD bodywork and one of a batch of thirty-five which were that fleet's last new rear-entrance buses. Twenty of the batch had Gardner engines whilst the balance had Bristol engines, but the distribution of the types within the batch wasn't straightforward. My 1966 BBF19 shows the A7 running from Chester to Holywell and, given that services changed more slowly in that era, I suspect that's what it still did at the time of this photo.
