The first Bedford VAL14 to be bodied by Plaxton, 7999MD, carried this Embassy II C44F body and it was seen on an Omnibus Society study tour. It was in the fleet of Bloomfield, London S.E.5
Rowson (Embassy Coaches) of Hayes in West London owned BMK 345A, one of very few MCW 'Topaz' C49F bodied Bedford VAL14 built to this original design.

Continuing the Grindle theme, here we have Roy Grindle & Son of Cinderford ADG479B, their first 36 footer, a Bedford VAL14/Duple Vega Major, new to them in May 1964. They sold it to Bennett of Gloucester in July 1978. It is parked close behind (a bit too close for a good photograph) a Plaxton bodied coach of their fleet in Locking Road Coach Park, Weston-super-Mare in the summer of 1974.

Leon, Finningley 65, ARR720B, was the second Bedford VAL14 in the fleet, the first being registered, appropriately, 448VAL. The first one, 64, had a Duple Vega Major coach body but 65 was bodied by Willowbrook with a B53F body and is seen in Glasgow Paddocks, Doncaster.

Baddeley Bros. 82, BWU710B, a Bedford VAL14 with Duple Vega Major C52F body, new in 1964. This was one of the vehicles that passed to West Yorkshire PTE with the sale of the business in March 1976. Nominally WYPTE's 1382 it never actually carried this number, and was withdrawn the same year.

British European Airways C556, LMG163C, was one of the ten Bedford VAL14s with Marshall B40C bodies delivered in 1965. They were non-P.S.V. Terminal transfer buses at London Airport and had centre entrances on both sides and perimeter seating. It had been renumbered from 6556 in April 1971.

Seen on the forecourt of the Earls Court Exhibition Hall in the white and purple livery of Timpson, London S.E.6 is SJJ589F, a Bedford VAL70 with a Plaxton Panorama I C49F body, one of four such coaches. New in June 1968, these were the first to be delivered in the grey and green livery adopted for the fleet, the change to white/purple being made in 1972.
