1. EN7704
EN7704, a Leyland TS8c, had been new in 1938 as Bury Corporation 74 with a Burlingham B36F body. In November 1951 the torque converter was removed and replaced by a normal clutch and gearbox and it was rebodied with a Massey H30/26R body by which time it had been renumbered to 75 (EN7703 which had been new as 75, became 74) and it passed to Paton, Renfrew number 55 in December 1958 being seen at the garage.

Seen at the garage in Pembroke Dock is Silcox 5, NDE332, a Bristol L5G which had been new in June 1951 with a Silcox FDP39F body (according to the P.S.V. Circle Fleet History) although NDE 330/1 (L5G) had Silcox DP39F bodies and NDE 616 (LL5G) had a Silcox DP41F body. In June 1961 NDE332 received a new Marshall FDP39F body and is seen here at the garage.

During 1976 Northern General had a vehicle shortage that resulted in the loan of a handful of buses from Southdown. One of these, Southdown 112, 112CUF, is seen in Sunderland bus station ready to depart for Consett. 112 is a Leyland Leopard PSU3/1 with Marshall B45F bodywork new to Southdown in 1963.

I struck lucky on first visit with the unique Ribble 774, ACK774B, their Leyland Panther PSUR1/2RT / Marshall DP49F new in July 1964 found resting after duty on the long X40 from Manchester via Preston and Lancaster.

Birmingham became the first operator to run single deck Daimler Fleetlines when it took delivery of a batch with Marshall bodywork in 1965. Seen here is 3472, BON472C. The body seated 37 which was much lower than later examples which were designed as single deckers from the off rather than adapted double deck chassis as is the case here. Later examples would have the engine enclosed and be designated SRG (for Saloon rear Gardener) rather than the CRG of the double deck chassis.

Bedford VAS1 DCG631C has just arrived with me, it was new in December 1965 to Winn (Sportsman Coaches) of Whiston with military-style Marshall B30F body and purchased in May 1970.

British European Airways C556, LMG163C, was one of the ten Bedford VAL14s with Marshall B40C bodies delivered in 1965. They were non-P.S.V. Terminal transfer buses at London Airport and had centre entrances on both sides and perimeter seating. It had been renumbered from 6556 in April 1971.

Nearest the camera is 665, a 1966 Leyland Leopard PSU4A/4R with 44 seat Marshall bodywork originally registered DRN665D it now carries an Isle of Man registration MAN66D as it is normally resident on the island having run for Isle of Man Road Services. Next to 665 is Harrington coach bodied Leyland Leopard L2T 1036, PCK618, of 1961

It was acting as a sales stand at the Dorchester Rally in August 2015. Prior to preservation it was a publicity vehicle for Western National and may be the only Panther to run for First Bus.

It is seen here outside Land's End outstation. Service 501 between Penzance and Land's End, whilst including the steep descent to Sennen Cove, reversal and back up, didn't require such a small vehicle and was sometimes worked by full-size 'deckers.
