Photo © Paul Holroyd. Please do not re-post without permission.

A May 1966 line-up inside Yorkshire Woollen District's premises at Swallow Street, Heckmondwike.
YWD had buildings on either side of Swallow Street, with Beck Lane and Station Road joining their respective ends of Swallow Street.
On the left is 588, HD7871, a Leyland Tiger PS1 single decker which was rebodied in 1954 with Metro-Cammell "Orion" H30/26R bodywork. It was renumbered 40 in the 1967 renumbering scheme, and was withdrawn by October 1967.

516, CCX715, a Guy Arab II was originally new in 1945 to County Motors of Lepton, fitted with a Roe utility L27/28R body. It was withdrawn by County Motors in 1949. After purchase by YWD, it was rebodied with a Roe highbridge body. It was withdrawn later in 1966.

577, HD7860, is another Leyland Tiger PS1 with Metro-Cammell "Orion" bodywork, which was withdrawn later in 1966.

At the extreme right edge of the picture is 931, KHD 405, a 1964 Albion Lowlander LR7 with Weymann bodywork.
