London Transport 1742, GLB742, a SA2 class trolleybus seen on route 691. It was an 8' wide Leyland TTB6 with a Metro Cammell 72 seat body, new in June1942, part of an order for Durban but diverted to London because of shipping difficulties.
1742 was withdrawn 3 months after his photo was taken when route 691 was converted to bus operation as part of the third trolleybus conversion stage on 18th August 1959.
