West Yorkshire PTE (Calderdale District) 3062, CCP162C, a Leyland Titan PD2/37 with Roe H37/28F body, new to Halifax Corporation (62) in 1965.
It was the penultimate halfcab to be withdrawn in Halifax, sold in 1980 via Central Motor Auctions, Rothwell to Jubb (dealer) who initially repainted it in Halifax livery, but then sold it in 1983 when it was exported to the USA where it operated in Denver along with the former Hebble Fleetline. Whether it still exists is not known to me.
It is seen here operating an inbound 9 from Raw Lane at the bottom of Ovenden Way - a road first opened in 1940 as part of a new council housing development, the upper sections of which were completed after the war. Many of the earlier red brick houses on the left hand side have since been demolished.
Rather unbelievably the legendary American blues singer 'Champion' Jack Dupree moved over here in the late 1950's/early 1960's and married a British woman, and they lived in one of the council houses on the left. He regularly used to be seen around town driving his Ford Zephyr III with his name and legendary (?) status signwritten its front doors.
