Halifax bought batches of buses that were often split between the coporation and Joint Committee fleets. 232, PJX232, is a 1962 Leyland Leopard L1 with Weymann bodywork and was identical to Leopards which entered the corporation fleet at the same time.
Following the absorbtion of Hebble and Todmorden these were often found on the cross Pennine services. I once rode all the way from Rochdale to Leeds on one and was a little perturbed when a sudden gust of wind blew the doors open in the wilds of the moorlands above Todmorden! 232 is seen in the sun at Roberts Park in Saltaire taking part in the Shipley Running day
