Huddersfield 640, PVH940, a Sunbeam S7 trolleybus with H40/32R body, new in 1959.
Seen here on the last morning of the Huddersfield system at the Waterloo terminus about to depart for Lindley.
640 was, numerically, the last Huddersfield trolleybus, but behind it can be seen "641".
This was a 1966 Bedford CA van owned by a local enthusiast who had painted it in the Huddersfield Trolleybus livery and given it fleetnumber 641! This van was a well known sight around the Huddersfield area at this time.
640 was thought of as being a bit of a rogue bus, with rough running and exceptionally noisy transmission and it lived up to its reputation on this last day as it broke down in service and had to be towed back to the depot!
