To complete the story of the last day of Huddersfield trolleybuses, Huddersfield 623, KVH223, enters the workshops at Great Northern Street to have the illuminations removed. It is hauled by tower wagon 9 (MVH388), immaculately presented being Huddersfield, which was a 1958 AEC Mandator with a body and tower by Eagle.
It's food for thought when you look at the front of 623 and realise that if the life of the Huddersfield trolleybus system was doubled it would still have been closed ten years!
