Huddersfield 619, KVH219, a BUT 9641T with East Lancs H40/32R body, new in 1956.
619 is seen here leaving Longroyd Bridge depot for the last time. The system had closed a few weeks earlier and 619 was on its way to a new life in preservation. Although it can't be seen it is being towed by a new David Brown tractor, kindly supplied by DBT from their Meltham Mill's factory.
It was stored for a while on a farm in Meltham, along with preserved 541, then led a bit of a nomadic life before arriving at the fledgling Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum.
Two of the group of four teenagers who saved 619 can be seen on the platform.
