WYPTE 4048, CCX848K, a Seddon RU with Pennine Coachcraft B45F bodywork. It was new to Huddersfield Corporation as its 48, being one of a batch of four delivered in 1972 (48-51: CCX848K-CCX851K).
It is seen still wearing Huddersfield fleetname and livery, but carrying its new PTE fleet number. The batch was originally built to B43D layout, but converted to B45F by Pennine Coachcraft in 1973. According to Messrs Cardno & Harling's 'Huddersfield Corporation' book, although 48-51 were delivered in August 1972, they retained the 'K' suffix to their registration numbers, rather than receiving an 'L' suffix as might have been expected.
