West Yorkshire PTE (Calderdale District) 4421, WVH421, a Leyland Titan PD3A/2 with Roe H39/31F body, new to Huddersfield Corporation (421) in 1963, and transferred from WYPTE Kirklees District to Calderdale District in 1974.
Twelve of these were transferred to Halifax, all arriving and operating briefly in Huddersfield Corporation livery. All but one were soon being repainted into WYPTE livery with 4xxx aded to their previous fleetnumbers, but this one was not repainted and though officially renumbered 4421 it continued to display its original number. It was the first of the batch to go, this being in 1975, wheras the last one - 4418 - survived until 1980. 4421 carried the later simplified version of the Huddersfield livery, brought in after the Corporation had taken over the Joint Omnibus Committee. I recall this one being one of the nicest of its type to drive despite its early demise.
