Huddersfield J.O.C. 28, MVH28F, an AEC Swift MP2R with Roe B44F body, new in 1967.
In 1968 a joint service 68/X68 had commenced between Halifax and Sheffield via Huddersfield, involving one vehicle each from Halifax, Huddersfield, Sheffield and Yorkshire Traction. Huddersfield's contribution was usually one of a pair of these Swifts (27 & 28), but the department's involvement with the service was short lived and they soon came off and left it to the remaining three operators. I had just travelled over from Halifax to Huddersfield on this one in order to ride on a few trolleybuses a couple of weeks before the system closed - one can just be seen swishing past up Kirkgate.
