WYPTE (Bradford District) 4196, UVH196, an AEC Regent V 2D2RA with Roe H39/31F body, new in 1962 to Huddersfield J.O.C. as 196.
One of the very last Huddersfield buses to be repainted in the former municipal colours prior to the takeover by the WYPTE. Soon afterwards it and some others were transferred to the Bradford District where they worked out their last days until withdrawal. They always seemed to have a slightly 'nose up, tail down' attitude. Looking in fine fettle it is seen here in Holmewood Road on the not-quite-full-circular service 80, crossing the former GNR Laisterdyke to Ardsley railway line, then still used by the occasional goods trains (until closure in 1981) though passenger services had ceased in 1966.
