Preserved former Huddersfield JOC 181, JVH381, an AEC Regent III 9613S with East Lancs. H33/28R body, new in 1955. Behind is former Blackburn C.T. 131, CBV431, a Guy Arab III (6LW) with Crossley H30/26R body, new in 1949.
Seen just before departing for home after the 1973 Ribble Enthusiasts' Club Southport to Blackpool Rally. 181 was at the time owned by Graham Mitchell of Halifax, and 131 by Dave Glidden of Liverpool. 181 was damaged damaged by fire many years ago and Graham sold it to someone else. It is believed to still exist somewhere, but in a fairly poor state. 131 was eventually scrapped by a later owner to provide spares for similar bus 133.
