Hunter, Seaton Delaval 31, GNL117L the second order with bus grant contrasted with Atlantean 30 by purchase of the popular combination of Leyland Leopard PSU3B/4R with Plaxton Panorama Elite Express body.
The coach is seen heading on its usual duty the stage service from home village to North Shields. It replaced Titan 18, ETY912 when new in February 1973.
Sale was in March 1984, though not idle for long as registered MZV145 in the following month for service in Ireland. Park View winding into Whitley Road comprises the main shopping street in Whitley Bay. Slight historic creative licence is evident, because the park is actually two minutes away near Park Road/Park Avenue, via Marine Gardens beside the North Eastern Electricity Board showroom!
This concludes a quartet of slides to celebrate a much-loved northeastern independent that lasted until 26 July 1994 and now has its own SCT61 listing.
