Hants & Dorset 850, MLJ145, a Bristol LS6G with ECW C39F body, new in 1953.
In 1965 it was rebuilt as a B37F service bus with jack knife doors and bus type destination box. Renumbered 1762 in 1971 it was withdrawn in 1972 and sold to the dealer Frank Cowley.

Taken on the upper level of Bournemouth Bus Station in the Summer of 1964. Other H&D buses to be seen are a pair of the well known rebuilt full-fronted K-type open toppers, an LD Lodekka and a LWL Queen Mary coach demoted to a service bus - and looking really nice I thought in the mostly green livery. Standing out from the rest is a bright red Wilts & Dorset lowbridge K-type.
Taken on my father's camera when I was twelve, the film was some odball, cheaper brand which came back mounted in anonymous, sealed, pale blue plastic mounts, and which produced very warm, saturated colours, but if you look at it long enough you don't notice any more !
