Former Hastings Tramways trolleybus 45, DY5458, a Guy BTX with Ransomes, Sims & Jeffries B32C body, new in 1929. The Hastings trolleybus system was taken over by Maidstone & District in 1935, and was closed down in 1959. 45 was at some point converted to an M&D enquiry and booking office for use in Hastings Bus Station, where it is seen here in 1970.
It was later rescued by the Hastings Trolleybus Restoration Group, who are custodians of the well known open-top Hastings douuble deck trolleybus 'Happy Harold'. More recently it has passed into the care of the National Trolleybus Association in Northamptonshire, who intend to restore it to working condition.
