A rear view of Hebble 601, GJX847, an AEC Regent V D3RV with Weymann 'Orion' H33/28R body, new in 1957 as 83, renumbered 303 three months later, and 601 in 1970.
Sold to North's, the dealer, Sherburn-in-Elmet in April 1971 it remained there until sold for scrap in the October.
On the one hand very lightweight and basic, but on the other capable of quite outstanding performance and the most impressive sound effects - at least when new - 601 is seen on the bus park at Halifax's Cross Field Bus Station on its last day in service whilst taking part in an enthusiasts' farewell tour.
