Stott's PCP406 was new as Hebble 280 and later renumbered 618. It worked the last Hebble stage carriage journey on 20th February 1971. It was an AEC Regent V MD3RV with Northern Counties H37/28F bodywork.
By the time of this photograph it was working for Stott's Tours, Oldham. I had first seen it there in July 1973 but it didn't survive very long. It probably wasn't well suited to the daily trips across the Pennines to Colne Valley High School which was the main employment for Stott's double-deckers. This photograph is a slide I bought so I don't have a date for it. Passing in the opposite direction is a former Salford Atlantean (distinguished from the ex-Manchester examples by the normal ventilator configuration).

Photographer unknown, from the David Beilby collection, about 1973, Mumps, Oldham
