Regent Motorways, Redditch had a number of coaches on hire to operators into London on weekends during the summer months and three are seen in this view at Victoria Coach Station. SWP722 was an A.E.C. MU3RV Reliance with a Harrington Wayfarer V C41C body, new in May 1957.
Behind it is VHA322, a Leyland PSUC1/2T Tiger Cub with a Harrington Wayfarer C37C body which had been new in May 1954 to Gliderways, Smethwick but the one in front is more difficult to identify, being a Harrington Crusader bodied lightweight. The choice is from WWP722, a Bedford SB3, or from YUY722 or YWP722, both these being Ford 570E models. These were followed by later deliveries of Crusader II models on Ford 570E chassis 722CWP, 722 DAB, 722DNP, 722GNP and 722GUY.
