Thames Valley FLF Coach D7, ABL119B, a Bristol FLF6B with ECW CLD65F body, new in 1964.

In 1964, the Road Transport Laboratory started an experiment to see if number plates with black letters on a white reflective background would an improvement on the then normal white on black. Six Thames Valley buses were among a small number of vehicles that took part in the experiment, including D7 seen here. For the experiment both front and rear plates were black on white, rather than the black on yellow at the rear that was universally adopted a few years later. See also 752.
