Walsall trolleybus 856, TDH906, a 1955 Sunbeam F4 with Willowbrook H70RD bodywork is seen in St Pauls Street bus station on 28 February 1970.
Unusually it still carries the Walsall fleetnames and crests which had been removed from most buses by this date which was some four months in to West Midlands PTE control. Just a few weeks earlier on 6 February 1970, a number of 20 year old Birmingham standards were drafted in to Walsall and replaced about half of the trolleybus fleet, mostly the second hand examples. No route was converted, and trolleybuses and motorbuses worked together as can be seen with a motorbus poised to follow 856 on service 30.
