A pair of Leeds Horsfield trams, 240 and 242, at the Tempest Road stop at the top of Beeston Hill.
242 has managed to avoid stopping on the section breaker but it would have been better if the driver had stopped beyond rather than just before it, for a smooth start. 240 has the later single blind destination box whilst 242 retains the original three part display although the lower aperture, for the via point, has been painted over. They have Brush bodies seating 37/23 on Peckham P35 trucks and were new in November 1931.
240 was last in service on 28th March 1959 and 242 on 3rd March 1958.
