Leeds Horsfield 179 having travelled along Street Lane from Moortown is approaching Roundhay Park on its way to Briggate. It was one of 100 such trams (155-254) built in 1931 on Peckham P35 trucks and seated 37/23 in its Brush body.
Four prototypes, 151-154, had been built at Kirkstall Road works in 1930 by the Transport Department. 179 was the only one to have the single blind destination blind mounted in the upper half of the window when the full size displays were replaced on some of the trams by the single blind version.
