Leeds Horsfields 156 and 186, new in March and June 1931, are seen at the terminus of the Balm Road service with 186 returning to the city centre whilst 156 waits to continue as a 26 Circular to Belle Isle and Middleton before descending theough Middleton Woods.
156 has the original three-piece destination display (although use of the via screens had been discontinued) and the original full drop windows on the upper deck whilst 186 has the single blind display and the top sliding windows on alternate upper deck windows which had been fitted in July 1952.  The lower deck was ventilated by pairs of small horizontally pivoting windows above three of the four main window, with the other one used for the destination display.
