What appears, at first sight, to be Leeds Chamberlain 102 started out as 112, the two having exchanged fleet numbers on 19th November 1955, and the original 102 burnt at Lowfields Road yard on 2nd January 1956, the day before this photograph.
This 102 (ex-112), seen in Thwaite Gate at the terminus, outside Hunslet Garage (off to the left of the photograph), of the route from Swinegate, was then withdrawn on 2nd February 1956 and exchanged fleet numbers with 115 on 7th February. Following this, 115 (ex-102, ex-112) was burnt at Lowfields Road yard on 28th February. Meanwhile the second replacement 102 (ex-115) continued in service until 2nd March 1956 and was burnt on 24th October 1956.
