Blackpool 722 is one of the famous "Balloon" trams, built for Blackpool in 1935 as 260. She is of the second batch, always enclosed, rather than her near cousin 703.
She retained twin blinds on the ends, as well as normal fleet livery, in this view inside the depot in May 1975. Those were the days when visitors could arrive at the door, ask if it was convenient for a look round, and be told something like, "There's three rules. Enjoy yourself, don't fall in any of the pits, and please tell me when you've finished."
