Southdown 519, OUF519, was a Guy Arab IV / Park Royal H31/26RD new in 1955.
It was one of a batch of 24 double deckers ordered by Southdown in 1954, the order being split evenly between Guy and Leyland. The Guys 512-523 arrived in March 1955, the Leylands (765-776) arriving in April. 519 was withdrawn in June 1964 with accident damage, whilst the rest of the batch were withdrawn in 1968 and sold for further service. This Eric Surfleet photo was taken in Brighton's Pool Valley Bus Station when quite new. It was on the lengthy 23 to Haywards Heath & Crawley. The lower deck seems well loaded.
