Roger Janes Memorial Gallery

Southdown Leyland Cub KPZ1/Harrington 4, CUF404, was new 7/36 as C14F with a folding canvas roof for touring duties.
Around 1939 it was rebuilt with glass quarter lights and a sliding roof and in 6/50 it was reseated to C20F. That roof looks suspiciously like it is still a folding roof rather than a sliding one to me. After withdrawal it was sold to Jersey Motor Transport 11/53 entering service as J13892 (fleet no 102) in 4/54. JMT withdrew it 8/60 and it passed into preservation regaining its original registration back in its native Sussex in 1962 and I'm pleased to say is still with us. This pretty little coach was photographed by Roger's friend Ralph Cheesesman at Henfield in August 1952
