SHO800, a 1958 AEC Reliance MU2RA with Duple Britannia C43F body and MMR553 a 1956 Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/2 with Harrington C41C body.
SHO800 was new to Creamline, Bordon and is now owned by Thornes Independent of Hemingborough and has been restored to as new condition in its original Creamline livery with the Thornes name tastefully incorporated into it. It is used for both private hire and tour work. Unusual for a coach of this period it has a semi auto gearbox, as denoted by the "2" in the chassis designation.
MMW 553 was new to Shergold & White t/a Silver Star as their number 26. Both of these coaches would probably have worked side by side in the 50's and 60's on the many forces leave services to all parts of the country from the large army camps situated in the Wiltshire/Hampshire area.
They are seen with a fine array of other classic buses behind them during Hornsby's 100th anniversary run.
