Ex Southdown Queen Mary Leyland PD3 BUF267C. New as a fixed roof bus rather than a 'convertible'.
After service with Southdown was sold to Weardale Motor Services for further service.
Bought by Wallace Arnold and converted to open top for promotional work in Yorkshire. They had another Queen Mary for similar work in Torquay which was an original 'convertible'.
Bought for preservation when WA merged with Shearings it is now under the wing of the Aire Valley Transport Group, and is available for private hire, and I am told is due to take members of Huddersfield Town AFC on a victory parade of the town tomorrow (Monday) to celebrate their promotion to the Premier League.
