South Yorkshire bought this Albion Valiant CX39N as a coach with a Burlingham body in 1950. In 1958 the chassis was used as the basis for a new Roe bodied double decker which became 81, TWY8, in the South Yorkshire fleet.
In the meantime the original Burlingham coach body was transferred to the chassis of 1940 lbion Valkyrie CX13 51 which was renumbered 57, DYG53. Like 81 this bus is also preserved.
