Fancy a cuppa?

London Transport 1727, GLB727, a SA1 class trolleybus seen on route 693. It was an 8' wide Leyland TTB6 with a Metro Cammell 72 seat body, new in January 1942, part of an order for Durban but diverted to London because of shipping difficulties.
In this view, you can see the separate front exit that had been replaced by fixed panelling by LT.
1727 was withdrawn 3 months after his photo was taken when route 693 was converted to bus operation as part of the third trolleybus conversion stage on 18th August 1959. At the time this photo was taken, only two of the SA1 class were still in service.
