Leeds 151 leads a line-up of snowbound "Horsfields". Although on the outward bound track, it's destination is set for a return to town and looks like it is about to use the Cross Flatts Park short-turn crossover.
This photo was from a glass negative taken (possibly) by the Yorkshire Evening Post. It was one of a limited number of tram-related negatives saved by local enthusiasts prior to the destruction of a huge collection of glass negative plates during a storage clear-out in the early 1970s. (I still have a scar on my hand from being cut by one of the many broken plates.) Had this collection lasted into the digital age, there would have been a wonderful archive of Leeds life for everyone to enjoy but, at the time, finding and saving transport pictures was our only remit.
