Eastbourne steamlined car 12 of 1966 was built with winter and poor weather operation in mind.
After the 1969 season the tramway was relocated to Seaton, Devon; regauged to 2 feet 9 inches and with larger cars, it now runs very successfully along 3 miles of the former railway line in the Axe Valley - well worth a visit.
