Two coaches were hired from Ensign Bus in 1976/7, the more conventional of the pair being this former North Western RCC Alexander bodied Leopard, VDB915, numbered 205 by Southend. It was used on a mix of contract and bus work and here is laying over in Broadway West, just past the Leigh Church stop, with the imposing Leigh Library building behind.
Peter is about get back aboard to drive the 25 back to Southend, whilst his conductor relaxes in the front passenger seat. So far as is known, OMO equipment was not fitted to 205 but that did not prevent its use one man operated at times!
