West Riding A.C. 162, LHL162F, a Leyland Panther PSUR1/1R with Roe B51F body, new in 1967. Renumbered 253 in 1971 it was withdrawn in 1979 and passed to Booth, Rotherham for scrap.
Sister vehicle 164 is nowadays preserved at the Dewsbury Bus Museum. 162 is seen here operating the return journey on service 3 from Cullingworth to Wakefield - a strange seeming link if ever there was one. As can be noted here it was still crew operated at the time. The route was restricted to single deckers due to a low arched railway bridge in St. Giles Road near Lightcliffe Station.
