Premier (Harold Wilson) of Stainforth operated 7871WJ, an AEC Regent V with Alexander H37/28RD bodywork. It was new to Sheffield Corporation in 1960 as their A871 with an open rear platform.
After withdrawal it passed to Tiger Coaches, a Scottish dealer, who prepared it for further service with one of the members of the A1 co-operative, but instead Premier purchased it. It operated initially in A1 livery but, shortly after acquisition, it suffered extensive rear end damage and the opportunity was taken to rebuild it with platform doors; only that section of the bus was painted in Premier livery, however! It ran in service in mixed A1/Premier livery for some time before eventually being painted in Premier colours; while with Premier it carried more than one version of full Premier livery and was finally withdrawn in 1980.
After withdrawal it joined the happy band of out of service vehicles at the back of the yard in East Lane and was used as a tyre store.
